ELAINE ROGERS
A BRIEF BIO
A self-motivated and deadline-driven creative talent, Elaine is a personable
and prolific professional with a knack for drawing people out, sifting
through their information and packaging it prettily for the appropriate
audience.
Early training as a newspaper reporter and magazine editor eventually
launched a freelance career with features regularly written for airline
inflights like Delta Sky and U.S. Air as well as national consumer magazines
ranging from Travel & Leisure to Women’s Sports & Fitness
and Ladies Home Journal. Following a sleep-deprived spell brought on
by the birth of three children in four years, Elaine’s passion
for parenting soon placed numerous child-rearing articles bearing her
by-line on the pages of Dallas Family, Dallas/Fort Worth Child and Children’s
Promise as well as with national operations like Parenting Magazine and
Parenthood.com — including two award-winning features recognized
by Parenting Publications of America (PPA) in 2005 and 2008.
Home design became another editorial specialty during Elaine’s
stint as editor of Dallas/ Fort Worth House & Home, and she continued
that focus when she took the helm at Solutions At Home, serving as senior
editor and overseeing the production of 10 regional décor & lifestyle
publications supported by a national Web site.
Ever open to new creative challenges, this versatile wordsmith is equally
comfortable in the roles of writer and editor, and multi-tasking might
as well be her middle name. In addition to her love of consumer feature
writing, she enjoys plying her trade with Web content development, trade
magazine and corporate work. Her current workload includes medical, health
and wellness features, business and celebrity profiles and coverage of
interior design trends as well as gardening, wine appreciation and lifestyle
news. |
